Claims on buildings insurance often arise unexpectedly as a result of fire, vandalism, accident, storm damage, floods or subsidence.

Our Claims Management Service

Our service includes the following:-

1.    Initial inspection and report on the extent of the damage and remedial works necessary.
2.    Arranging emergency repairs, securing of property, etc.
3.    Writing of specifications, detailing remedial work.
4.    Agreeing the extent of works and the surveyor’s fees with the insurance company loss adjuster.
5.    Obtaining contractors’ priced tenders.
6.    Appointing contractors.
7.    Contract administration.
8.    Certification of stage payments from the insurance company.
9.    Contract variation.
10.   Final inspection and completion certificate.

Our fees for providing these services may be claimed under normal buildings insurance policies.  We agree the level of our fees with the insurance company loss adjuster and, in most cases, there are no charges to the insured party.  In some cases clients ask that we deal with other matters at the same time as the insurance claim works.  In that event fees are chargeable to the client for these works.  The level of the fees or the fee rate is agreed in advance with the client.
